katniss and peeta: survivors

Description

so I've listened to all three hunger games audiobooks (which are great, by the way) and I'm a bit crushed upon finishing them.

the series, having it's weaknesses here and there, is truly worth reading/listening to.
very powerful storytelling, hugely impressive at times, insanely supenseful and very brutal.

A story that handles difficult topics, like warfare or the power of the media and has a fascinating heroine.

Although I was a bit annoyed by the love triangle, the story doesn't concentrate on it - which is a great relief in a time where everyone seems to be going for .... stuff like twilight. (I don't want to insult the twilight fans, I just think it can really not be considered as good literature)

I've been sketching katniss and peeta the last days, in a reflective sort of way....mockingjay really got to me.... :D

cheers to all hunger games fans

Twilight isn't literature. It's commercial, and it was kind-of decent until they released the movies and the fan base went wild. Actually, most of the popular books today are commercial, I can't think of a popular book that can actually be called 'literature'.
Now on to more important matters:
Hunger Games was an epic series, worth the read. Except for her being in a semi-realistic style, you've captured the exact portrayal of Katniss that I imagined. And Peeta's hair...I have no idea how you did it, but exactly the way I imagined it. And while I realise he's suffering all through the series, I never saw a scene - except perhaps during Mockingjay, anyone whose read/heard the books knows what I means when I say this - that he seemed to be brooding in.
Anyway, overall a really nice piece. Keep up the good work!
